On 1 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuala Lumpur, visited the booth of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Asia 2026, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur, and was well-welcomed by Ms. Kanita Sartwattayu, CEO Designate and Executive Vice President (Strategy, Business Development, and Human Resources Group) and Mr. Padsakorn Suwanruji, Executive Vice President (Geosciences, Subsurface, and Exploration Group), along with executives and staffs of PTTEP Malaysia Asset.
 
The Ambassador visited the exhibition and was briefed on the Company’s business developments and petroleum exploration and production activities across 12 countries worldwide, with Malaysia serving as one of its key strategic locations. The briefing also covered PTTEP’s plans for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) initiatives in support of its target to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, as well as the integration of digital innovations under the “Digital X” initiative, including the Drilling Operation Real-Time Analyses (DORA) and the Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC).
 
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Asia is held biennially whereby in 2026, the conference takes place from 31 March to 2 April, serving as a key platform for dialogue, networking, and technical knowledge exchange among private sector stakeholders in the offshore energy industry. This year’s conference is held under the theme “Excellence in Asia: Advancing Energy Responsibly.” On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand – Malaysia energy cooperation, particularly in light of evolving challenges in the Middle East region.
