On 26 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed a courtesy call by H.E. Aung Kyaw Moe, Chargé d’Affaires a.i of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Malaysia, at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence.

 

Both sides exchanged information and views on Thailand-Myanmar and Malaysia-Myanmar bilateral relations, developments in the Myanmar situation, as well as cooperation within the ASEAN framework under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025. Additionally, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i expressed gratitude to the Thai Government for its goodwill and swift humanitarian assistance following the earthquake on 28 March 2025.

 

The meeting was constructive and helped strengthen good relations between the two embassies. Both sides are committed to forge closer cooperation with the host country, and be at one’s disposal to share thoughts and experiences, while working closely during their tenure in Malaysia.
