Ambassador welcomed a courtesy call by National Intelligence Agency delegation

On 27 June 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed Mr.Chaiyathorn Suvanampa, Expert intelligence officer, Acting Senior Advisor of National Intelligence Agency of Thailand, and NIA delegation, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, on their study visit to Malaysia and Singapore during 24 – 27 June 2024. Mr. Chatchawan Worrakajohnwirat, Minister Counsellor for Security Affairs, Colonel Nikom Tongkinkaew, Army Attaché and Police Colonel Somyot Srisorayut, Minister Counsellor (Police Attaché), were also present to welcome the delegation.
 
The Ambassador and the Acting Senior Advisor of NIA constructively exchanged views and information on the development of Thailand – Malaysia relations and Malaysia's role amidst geopolitical conflicts. The Ambassador expressed readiness to support missions of the NIA, and extended appreciation to NIA for the close cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy.
 
The Royal Thai Embassy conducted a briefing session on various aspects of Thailand – Malaysia bilateral relations. Ambassador Lada presided over the briefing. Ms. Nuporn Chantavarin and Ms. Orndaporn Pewngern, First Secretaries of Royal Thai Embassy shared information on political and economic developments in Malaysia, as well as and Malaysia’s role in international arena. The participants actively exchanged perspectives on the topics of interest that would contribute to intelligence-related operations.
