On 20 – 21 November 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia welcomed H.E. Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, and Thai delegation attending the 30th ASEAN Transport Ministers Meeting and related meetings at Pullman hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

 

On 20 November 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, together with the Ambassador and Mr. Chayatan Phromsorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Thailand, had a meeting with YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport of Malaysia at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, whereby both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in Thailand – Malaysia connectivity to facilitate the transportation of goods and traveling for tourism purpose, as well as to further enhance economic growth of the two countries. On the same evening, the Ambassador hosted dinner for the Thai delegation.

 

On 21 November 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, along with the Thai delegation attended the 30th ASEAN Transport Ministers Meeting and related meetings hosted by the Minister of Transport of Malaysia, including 23rd ASEAN and China Transport Ministers Meeting, 22nd ASEAN and Japan Transport Ministers Meeting, 15th ASEAN and Republic of Korea Transport Ministers Meeting. The Meeting took note of the reports on the progress of transport cooperation in accordance with ASEAN Transport Strategic Plan 2026 – 2025, and the development of the 2026-2030 ASEAN Transport Sectoral Plan, as Thailand expressed support for the Joint Statement and related outcome documents.
