On 15 December 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, along with the Defence and Army Attaché; Air Attaché; and Minister Counsellor (Police Liaison) of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, as representatives of the Team Thailand in Malaysia, as well as senior Malaysian officials led by Dr. Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) of Malaysia; Tengku Mohd Dzaraif bin Raja Abdul Kadir, Deputy Chief of Protocol of Malaysia; Dato’ Rozainor bin Ramli, Chief of Ceremony of Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia; and Mr. Bong Yik Jui, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Thailand, welcomed H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, and Thai delegation at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s Official Visit to Malaysia, at the invitation of Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and co-chairing the 7th Annual Consultation (7th AC) during 15 - 16 December 2024.
 
On this occasion, the Ambassador took part in the important programmes of the Official Visit on 16 December 2024, including the Official Welcoming Ceremony and the 7th AC at the Prime Minister’s Office of Malaysia (Perdana Putra Complex), Putrajaya, as well as the Official Luncheon in honour of the Prime Minister hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia at Seri Perdana Complex, Putrajaya. Upon the departure of the Prime Minister and her delegation in the evening of the same day, the Ambassador, along with the Team Thailand in Malaysia, joined senior Malaysian officials in sending off the delegation at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The Official Visit of the Prime Minister to Malaysia was a success with the two leaders, as well as the Ambassador and representatives of Thai and Malaysian agencies, discussing ways to advance cooperation in various aspects, especially economic collaborations, including trade and investment, digital economy, tourism, and the promotion of rubber and halal industries. Discussions also included security, infrastructure development and border connectivity whereby both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of cross-border infrastructure projects and reaffirmed their commitments to working closely to enhance road and rail connectivity to facilitate cross-border trade, and increase people-to-people interactions, among others.
 
The Ambassador and the Team Thailand in Malaysia, including Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur; Minister Counsellor (Commercial) and Director of the Department of International Trade Promotion - Kuala Lumpur Office; Minister Counsellor (Labour) and Director of the Labor Office in Malaysia; Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand - Kuala Lumpur Office; and Minister Counsellor (Security), also welcomed the Prime Minister and Thai delegation, including Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport; Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports; Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; and Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Culture, upon their arrival at the hotel.
