Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Welcomed the Delegation from Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs

On 30 September 2025, a delegation from the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, led by Mr. Narat Vidyananda, Minister, Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow, and Special Representative of DVIFA, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, at the Thai Residence in Kuala Lumpur. The visit was made on the occasion of the delegation’s participation in the 16th Annual Meeting of Deans and Directors of Diplomatic Training Institutions of ASEAN+3 and the Forum on ASEAN: Shaping a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future, held during 30 September - 3 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, organized by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.
 
On 2 October 2025, the Embassy, together with the DVIFA’s delegation, attended the Forum on ASEAN: Shaping a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur. The Opening Ceremony featured welcoming remarks by Dato’ Zainol Rahim Zainuddin, Director General of IDFR, and an opening address by YB Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. The event also marked the launch of the book “ASEAN 2025: Fostering Resilient and Equitable Futures Through Inclusivity and Sustainability,” which reflects Malaysia’s role as the ASEAN Chair in 2025 under the theme “Inclusivity and ustainability.” The theme underscores Malaysia’s commitment to advancing a sustainable, equitable, and people-centred ASEAN amid the current global changes and uncertainties, navigated by the ASEAN Way in building trust and fostering peace, as well as promoting the participation of all sectors toward a stable and prosperous region.
