Guideline for E-VISA Application
ATTENTION:
- Applicants are strongly advised to apply for a visa at least 7-14 days prior to their intended travel date to avoid any delays by filling in the information and uploading all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/
** Please make sure to select the branch of the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
- The e-visa processing approximately takes 7 days, excluding the holiday (the processing may be extended if the application is incomplete).
- The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) may take longer than 7 working days to process, and the applicant may request to appear in person at the embassy for an interview (depends on case by case).
- For instructions, please check Thai e-visa instruction
- For visa category and requirements, please check Visa Types, Fees & Requirements
- The visa fee is nonrefundable; please double-check all information before submitting, especially if your device is using auto-fill or auto-correct. Mismatch information will be rejected as the officers are not able to edit any information entered by the applicant. Applicants will have to resubmit, and the visa fee cannot be refunded.
- Citizens of Afghanistan, Nigeria, and North Korea will also need to present at the embassy for a visa interview.

Please READ:
**The Royal Thai Embassy reserved the right to refuse the visa application with no reason provided and no refund.**
**It is recommended to plan and apply for a Visa around 1 month prior to the departure date**
**Most types of visas have a validity of 90 days; do not apply more than 3 months in advance, as your visa will expire before your travel date.**
**A visa becomes effective from the date of issuance. If you apply too early, the visa may expire before your trip, and you will have to reapply. The fee is nonrefundable.**
