เมื่อวันที่ ๓ มีนาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้พบหารือกับผู้แทนคณะกรรมการสมาคมผู้ประกอบกิจการอาหารไทยในมาเลเซีย หรือ "ต้มยำไทยคลับ" ซึ่งเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ในโอกาสนี้ ผู้แทนคณะกรรมการสมาคมฯ ได้บรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับอำนาจหน้าที่และกิจกรรมของสมาคมฯ ทั้งในเรื่องการรวมกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการ การจัดตั้งสหกรณ์ และการสอนภาษาไทยให้แก่บุตรหลานของผู้ประกอบการและผู้สนใจอื่น ๆ และเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ให้ข้อคิดเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการบริหารสมาคมฯ โดยอ้างอิงจากประสบการณ์ในระหว่างการดำรงตำแหน่งกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส

 

On 3 March 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador-Designate met with representatives from the Executive Committee of the Thai Foods Entrepreneurs in Malaysia Association (TYT), who paid a courtesy call at the Ambassador's Office. During this occasion, the TYT representatives provided a briefing about its work while the Ambassador-Designate also provided his insights about the work of Thai entrepreneurs associations from his experience while being Consul-General in Los Angeles.
