เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒ กันยายน ๒๕๕๗ นายกฤต ไกรจิตติ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เป็นประธานเปิดงานสัปดาห์ไทย (Thailand Week) ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและหน่วยงานทีมประเทศไทย เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒-๑๔ กันยายน ๒๕๕๗ ที่ศูนย์การประชุมมิดแวลลีย์ ภายในศูนย์การค้าเมกะมอลล์ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ในหัวข้อ "Exploring Creative Thai" โดยกิจกรรมหลักของงานประกอบด้วยการจัดแสดงสินค้าและบริการคุณภาพชั้นนำจากประเทศไทยเพื่อให้ชาวมาเลเซียได้เลือกชมและจัดซื้อในศูนย์การค้าใจกลางเมือง การเผยแพร่ข้อมูลและวัฒนธรรมเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทยให้ผู้สนใจ และการหารือและจับคู่ระหว่างนักธุรกิจไทยกับมาเลเซีย ทั้งนี้ ในช่วงพิธีเปิดงาน ได้มีการจัดแสดงหุ่นละครเล็กโจหลุยส์ให้แก่ผู้เข้าร่วมงานได้รับชมด้วย

 

On 12 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, presided over the opening ceremony of "Thailand Week," organized by the Office of Commercial Affairs, with the support of the Royal Thai Embassy and various Team Thailand offices, on 12-14 September 2014 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Mid Valley Megamall, under the theme "Exploring Creative Thai." The main activities of the event were the showcase of Thai products and services for local customers in Malaysia to explore and purchase, and the showcase of Thai culture and information about Thailand for potential visitors. Additionally, during the opening ceremony, there was also a showcase of Thai puppet performances "Joe Louis Theatre," which was enjoyed by thousands of visitors who visited the event during its inaugural day.
