On 26 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the IMT-GT Regional Business Excellence Awards 2025. The event was organized by the IMT-GT Joint Business Council at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, and was presided over by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation. The Opening Remarks was delivered by Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Mahadi Mohamad, Director of the IMT-GT Joint Business Council.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Awards as a reflection of the shared commitment of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to strengthen the economies anchored in integrity, innovation, and sustainability as well as the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT)’s readiness to advance private sector-led and public sector-enabled economic growth.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador discussed Thailand-Malaysia bilateral cooperation with the Deputy Prime Minister and congratulated the Thai business awardees. The Satun Chamber of Commerce received the Promotion Trade & Investment Award in the Trade and Investment category, represented by Ms. Sasithorn Eungsakul, Deputy President of the Satun Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Bid My Asset (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was recognized with the Circular Economy Practices Award in the Green and Sustainability category, with Mr. Kevin Paramr, Managing Director, receiving on the company’s behalf.

 

The inaugural IMT-GT Regional Business Excellence Awards 2025 was held to honor exemplary businesses and individuals from IMT-GT member countries whose outstanding achievements in key categories contribute to achieving the IMT-GT Vision 2036 and the Implementation Blueprint 2022 - 2026.
