On 26 April 2023, Miss Lada Phumas, Ambassador, called on H.E. Mr. Mohd Aini Atan, Chief of Protocol, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia to present the copy of Letter of Credence as well as to officially report her assumption of duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia. Both sides exchanged views on Thailand-Malaysia relations. H.E. Lada informed the Chief of Protocol on the upcoming Thailand’s Overseas Election in Malaysia during 28 April – 4 May 2023 whereby the Thais residing in Malaysia can exercise their rights to vote in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Bharu, Sarawak, and Johor. Also, H.E. Lada expressed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with the Malaysian side to drive forward the bilateral mechanism. The Chief of Protocol welcomed and congratulated H.E. Lada on the appointment and expressed strong confidence that the bilateral ties between the two countries will be further strengthened during her tenure.
