On 7 June 2023, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia chaired the 2/2023 Team Thailand Meeting, which was the first meeting since H.E. assumed her duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia. During the meeting, the Ambassador discussed and exchanged views with Mr. Raschada Jiwalai, Consul General of Thailand in Penang and Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul General of Thailand in Kota Bharu, the heads of the Team Thailand offices, and officials of the Embassy on political/security and economic developments in Thailand and Malaysia, outcomes of the overseas election in Malaysia, as well as work plans for the fiscal year 2023, and operational integration plans of the Team Thailand in Malaysia in accordance with the Foreign Affairs Strategy. Her Excellency also emphasized the importance of providing consular services and protection for Thai nationals across Malaysia continuously.

           In this regard, Her Excellency expressed appreciation to team Thailand for synergizing the mission, especially the successful management of the overseas election between 3 – 4 May 2023 at the Royal Thai Embassy, as well as in playing an essential role under Thailand One Roof in promoting Thai-Malaysia relations.
