On 19 December 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuala Lumpur, in her capacity as Patron of the ASEAN Ladies’ Circle (ALC) Thailand, hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of outgoing ALC members upon the completion of their terms in Kuala Lumpur, combined with a New Year 2026 celebration. The event was held at Gai – by Darren Chin, a Thai fine-dining restaurant at M Resort Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with ALC Malaysia.
The luncheon was attended by representatives of ALC Malaysia led by Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, Deputy Secretary-General in charge of Multilateral Affairs and Management Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, together with Mrs. Vachiraporn Pikulthong, Alternate Patron, and Ms. Hunsa Eakturapakal, Country Representative of ALC Thailand.
The outgoing ALC members were (1) Ms. Pinyada Reiniger, Honorary Treasurer of ALC Thailand, who will return to assume duties at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, (2) Puan Siti Noralia Mustaza, Honorary Assistant Treasurer, who will take up a new posting at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, (3) Puan Azura Zulkifli, ALC Malaysia member, who will accompany her spouse upon his appointment as Consul-General of Malaysia in Vancouver; and (4) Puan Faezah Abdul Ghani, ALC Malaysia member, who will accompany her spouse upon his appointment as Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed her sincere appreciation to Datin Paduka and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia for their continued support of ALC activities.
She also thanked the ALC Thailand and ALC Malaysia teams for their close cooperation and the many tangible achievements attained, and extended her congratulations to the outgoing ALC members on their forthcoming assignments.
Datin Paduka expressed her appreciation to Ambassador Lada for her dedication and commitment to ALC, particularly during her tenure as President of ALC for the 2024 - 2025 term, during which many innovative and impactful initiatives were introduced and successfully implemented. She also reaffirmed ALC Malaysia’s commitment to maintaining close and friendly cooperation with ALC Thailand.
Ms. Pinyada Reiniger and Puan Siti Noralia Mustaza conveyed their gratitude to the Ambassador and Datin Paduka for the opportunity to serve in ALC, which plays an important role in promoting unity and solidarity among ASEAN member countries in Kuala Lumpur.
The atmosphere of the event was warm and convivial, with participants exchanging professional experiences while enjoying specially prepared Thai dishes, including Gai’s Signature Crab Omelette, Lady Boss Nana Signature Tom Yum Seafood, and Hatyai Fried Free-Range Chicken. Gai – by Darren Chin has been featured in the Michelin Select Guide for 2023 - 2025.
