On 16 October 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, met with 8 delegates from the Committee on Young Entrepreneur Network Development and members of the Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce (YEC), led by Mr. Chathip Tangkulpaisarn, Charperson of the Committee on YEC, Thai Chamber of Commerce. The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador during their visit to Malaysia to attend the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival 2025, held on 14 - 16 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial), was also present to welcome the delegation.

 

During the courtesy call, the Ambassador exchanged views on Malaysia’s current economic landscape, Malaysia’s SME promotion policies, and business trends and opportunities under the 13th Malaysia Plan, 2026 - 2030. The Ambassador also emphasised the importance of enhancing capacity and opportunities for entrepreneurs from Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces to strengthen tangible economic connection with Malaysia.

 

The discussion was held in a constructive manner, with the delegation actively sharing experiences and perspectives. The Royal Thai Embassy reaffirmed its readiness to support Thai private sector and Young Entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in further deepening Thailand - Malaysia relations.
