Ambassador officiated the Opening Ceremony of the “Phuket Roadshow to Asia Pacific 2025

On 24 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to officiate and deliver welcoming remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the “Phuket Roadshow to Asia Pacific 2025” under the campaign “Phuket Endless Discovery”, held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The Roadshow was co-organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Kuala Lumpur Office, and the Phuket Tourist Association, whereby over 100 tourism industry representatives from Phuket and Malaysia, including hotel and travel operators participated.
 
In her address, the Ambassador highlighted Thailand and Phuket as preferred destinations for Malaysian travelers as well as Phuket’s readiness to welcome leisure and MICE travelers. The Ambassador also emphasized the convenience of direct air connectivity and promising future sea routes, and underscored the rich cultural heritage ties between Phuket and Malaysia. The Ambassador further reaffirmed the Royal Thai Government’s commitment to strengthening Thailand’s position as a leading destination for Muslim travelers, to advancing green and sustainable tourism, and to achieving Phuket’s milestone as Thailand’s first carbon-neutral area by 2030.
 
The event also included a presentation on Thailand tourism highlights presented by Mrs. Sirinthara Surakanitaya, Director of the TAT, Kuala Lumpur Office, alongside an update on Phuket tourism products presented by a representative of the Phuket Tourist Association, with Mr. Thanet Tantipiriyakit, President of the Association, in attendance. The Roadshow further facilitated business matching and networking activities in a cordial and creative atmosphere.
 
On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy warmly invites Malaysian friends to visit Phuket and Thailand to experience the multicultural society, genuine friendship, and heartfelt hospitality of the Thai people.
