On 16 October 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia presided over the Thailand Week 2024, organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP Malaysia), the Embassy, and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) (Malaysia Office), in partnership with the National Innovation Agency (NIA) of Thailand and Invest Selangor Berhad, Malaysia during 16-19 October 2024 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The Ambassador welcomed the visitors and informed of the Thailand Week 2024’s objectives, which are to promote Thailand’s business potentials as well as trade and business opportunities in Malaysia market for Thai businesses. During the Event, over 80 booths will showcase Thailand’s various high- quality products, including Food & Beverage, Health Products and Food Supplements, HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant and Café), Herbs and Herbal Products, Innovative Products, and Ready-to-Eat Products. Other activities also include business matching sessions, Talks by key industry players in the relevant sectors, Thai cultural performances, and Thai handicraft Workshops. She extended appreciation to the Invest Selangor Berhad and Selangor State Government for the Event’s good support, which is co-located with the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024, organised by the Invest Selangor Berhad at KLCC.

In addition, on 17 October 2024, the Ambassador joined other foreign Ambassadors and High Commissioners in Malaysia during the networking session with His Highness Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, whereby YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor State and YBhg. Dato’ Hasan Azhari Bin Hj. Idris, CEO, Invest Selangor Berhad were also present. The initiative was part of the SIBS 2024 activities. On this occasion, the Ambassador and Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial)/ Director of DITP Malaysia welcomed His Highness Raja Muda of Selangor during High Highness’s tour at the Thailand Week 2024.
