On 29 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call on Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Putrajaya.

 

Both sides exchanged information and perspectives on the Thailand-Cambodia situation, particularly in the context of Malaysia’s role, as well as discussed developments and approaches to strengthening Thailand-Malaysia bilateral relations on various issues such as cross-border connectivity and transportation cooperation. Additionally, the Ambassador provided information about the Embassy’s projects that help promote bilateral relations, including the Thailand-Malaysia Strategic Dialogue: “Honouring the Past, Engaging the Present and Shaping a Prosperous Future,” an academic seminar in which the Embassy co-organized with the Institute of Strategic & International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia on 15 August 2025, at ISIS Malaysia (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CNs9U8h8Q/), and the Malaysian Parliamentarians’ Visit Program, which is scheduled to be held in September this year, among others.

 

The discussion was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, and both sides were ready to support mutual cooperation to continuously strengthen Thailand-Malaysia collaboration.
