On 8 May 2023, H.E. Lada Phumas, Ambassador, received a courtesy call by CPOC (Carigali – PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn. Bhd.) led by Ms. Kanchanan Panananda, General Manager, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on the occasion of H.E. Lada’s assumption of duty as the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia

          H.E. Lada discussed and exchanged information on the latest developments of CPOC’s operation in the Joint Development Area (JDA). CPOC acts as a joint entity between Thailand and Malaysia through PTTEP International Limited (Thailand) and PC JDA Limited (Malaysia). H.E. Lada expressed her readiness to continue the Embassy’s support for the operation of CPOC and Thailand-Malaysia’s cooperation in the JDA. Ms. Kanchanan informed H.E. Lada of smooth operation of CPOC in Block B-17-01, which owes to the basis of close partnership between Thailand and Malaysia. Ms. Kanchanan also briefed on a study being conducted by CPOC to adopt green practices to address the global sustainability agenda, for example, the Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) project.

          On 9 May 2023, H.E. Lada was invited to CPOC Office to join the Hari Raya Celebration at Permata Sapura, Kuala Lumpur.
