On 15 December 2025, H.E Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia received a courtesy call by executives from the PTTEP Malaysia Asset, led by Mr. Vitoon Chaisomboonpan, Country Manager, who paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador on the occasion of his assumption of duties.

 

The Ambassador extended a warm welcome and congratulated Mr. Vitoon on his official appointment as Country Manager on 1 December 2025. Ambassador expressed confidence that his extensive professional experience would further contribute to PTTEP Malaysia Asset’s continued success, with the strong support of a highly capable team. Ambassador also underscored PTTEP Malaysia Asset’s important role in supporting energy security and enhancing energy่cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia.

 

Both sides exchanged views on the Government of Malaysia’s energy transition policy under the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), as well as current energy industry trends, recent operational developments of PTTEP Malaysia in Malaysia, and regional energy cooperation.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed appreciation for the close and cordial relations between the Royal Thai Embassy and PTTEP Malaysia Asset, and reaffirmed the Royal Thai Embassy’s commitment to continuously supporting PTTEP Malaysia Asset’s operations and Thai business sector in Malaysia.
