On 16 December 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia welcomed a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Peter Spišiak, Ambassador-designate of the Slovak Republic to Malaysia, on the occasion of his assumption of duty, at the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

Both sides exchanged information on bilateral relations between Thailand and the Slovak Republic, exchanges of high-level visits, Thailand’s role at the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (IPMF) held in Brussels (20 - 21 November), as well as Slovak Republic - Malaysia and Thailand - Malaysia bilateral relations, in which both Thailand and the Slovak Republic are committed to forge constructive cooperation with the host country in the areas of trade, investment, and enhancing interactions within the ASEAN framework. The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

 

The meeting was cordial and helped strengthen good relations between the two Ambassadors and embassies. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sharing experiences and working closely during their tenure in Malaysia.
