On 10 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the 27th AsiaOne ASEAN Business & Social Forum 2026 under the theme “Celebrating the Spirit of ASEAN”, organised by AsiaOne Media Group at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Rajat Raj Shukal, Global Head and Principal Partner of AsiaOne Media Group. The Forum brought together more than 300 participants, including foreign ambassadors to Malaysia, representatives of foreign embassies in Malaysia, business leaders and civil society representatives from Asia and Europe, as well as invited guests and members of the media.

 

On this occasion, Ambassador Lada was presented with the inaugural “Diplomatic Excellence Award 2026” by AsiaOne Media Group in recognition of her active role and outstanding contributions to advancing international relations, particularly Thailand – Malaysia relations, promoting proactive economic diplomacy, and fostering cooperation in the areas of society, culture, and sustainable development in the region.

The Forum also presented awards to ambassadors and representatives from 27 countries, as well as leaders from the public sector, business community, and civil society from across regions, who gathered to exchange views and explore ways to strengthen international cooperation in support of economic growth and sustainable development.

 

The 27th AsiaOne ASEAN Business & Social Forum served as a platform to promote trade, investment, and innovation among ASEAN member states, while fostering strategic partnerships with countries and stakeholders from around the world. Notably, the 19th edition of the Forum was held in Bangkok in 2022.
