On 12 May 2023, H.E. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited by National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to visit the research work, invention and innovation showcased by Thai researchers and inventors at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX2023). The ITEX2023 is organised by Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) and C.I.S. Network.

        H.E. Lada commended on the good support by the NRCT led by Deputy Director Anek Bamrungkit for bringing in 160 Thai inventors from relevant Thai authorities, universities and schools from Bangkok and other provinces of Thailand to participate in the ITEX2023. This initiative provides a good opportunity for the Thai participants to gain exposure and knowledge, enabling technical and technological exchange especially for youths. Such initiative further improves human resource, which is in line with Thailand’s human resource development strategy. It is also a chance for the Thai inventors to further develop their research work and gain ideas for commercialisation.

         H.E. Lada took this opportunity to visit various booths and extended the Embassy’s support. These are, for example, Math Man toy, formula and production process for rice berry rice mixed with herbs, Rapid Test Kit on non-halal animals in halal food productions, natural rubber coating-patient transfer belt, etc.
