The visit to Malaysia to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, concluded with great success, while marking the first participation of the Prime Minister of Thailand and the current cabinet members, including H.E. General Nattaphon Narkphanit, Minister of Defence; H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and H.E. Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce, in the meetings of the ASEAN Summits. Thailand demonstrated its pivotal role as a “key strategic player for advancing peace, prosperity and development,” actively promoting cooperation among ASEAN Member States, Dialogue Partners, and external partners on mutually-beneficial issues, particularly on 4 major areas, namely (1) promoting peace and stability in the region on the basis of the ASEAN centrality, (2) fostering a secure region resilient to transnational challenges, (3) advancing inclusive economic development, especially through the finalisation of the Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), and (4) driving the change for sustainability as Thailand is the ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development, among others.

To honour the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Commerce, and the Thai delegation, the Ambassador hosted an official dinner on 25 October 2025 at the Ambassador’s residence. The gathering was also attended by members of Team Thailand and the Thai businesses in Malaysia in a warm and cordial atmosphere, further reinforcing the spirit of cooperation and integration in advancing Thailand’s interests.

In the afternoon of 28 October 2025, the Ambassador, along with representatives from the Team Thailand and senior Malaysian officials, bid farewell to the Prime Minister of Thailand and the Thai delegation at Subang Air Base.
