On 30 October - 2 November 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed H.E. General (Ret.) Nattaphon Narkphanit, Minister of Defence, and the Thai delegation on their visit to Malaysia to attend the 19th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus), held on 31 October - 1 November 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), at the invitation of the Ministry of Defence of Malaysia, in its capacity as the ASEAN Chair for 2025.

 

On 30 October 2025, the Ambassador, together with the Defence and Army Attaché, Naval Attaché, and Air Attaché, as representatives of Team Thailand in Malaysia, jointly welcomed the Thai delegation upon arrival at Subang Air Base, Selangor. In the evening of the same day, the Ambassador hosted a dinner in honour of the Minister of Defence and the delegation. On 1 November 2025, the Ambassador was invited to attend the Gala Dinner in honour of all attending Defence Ministers, hosted by Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Minister of Defence of Malaysia.

 

The Thai delegation successfully participated in the meetings. The ADMM endorsed eight new cooperation initiatives, notably the Concept Paper on the Security of Undersea Infrastructure in ASEAN, proposed jointly by Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, and Thailand. In the afternoon of 2 November 2025, the Ambassador, together with senior Malaysian representatives, bid farewell to the Minister of Defence at Subang Air Base, Selangor, upon his departure back to Thailand.
