Ambassador welcomed the Executives from Centre for IMT-GT Sub-regional Cooperation (CIMT)

On 22 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, received a courtesy call by the CIMT Executives, led by Mr. Amri Bukhairi Bakhtiar, Director and
 
Ms. Duangruetai Surasakjinda, Deputy Director, upon their appointment.
Ambassador Lada congratulated Director Amri and Deputy Director Duangruetai on the assumption of their duties, whereby they represent Malaysian and Thai Governments at the CIMT. She expressed the Embassy’s readiness to continue its engagement with the CIMT.
 
Director Amri briefed on the CIMT’s plan and vision in 2024 to advance the IMT-GT’s 2nd Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026 (IB 2022-2026) during the second half of its duration. He thanked for this good opportunity to constructively exchange views on the work of CIMT with the Ambassador.
 
The IMT-GT (Indonesia – Malaysia – Thailand Growth Triangle) was established in 1993 with the objective to promote economic relations among the three member countries - Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The CIMT serves as its Secretariat, which is located in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The Centre is under the supervision of the Government representatives from the three member countries.
