On 23 October 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, welcomed H.E. General (Ret.) Nattaphon Narkphanit, Minister of Defence of Thailand, and the Thai delegation on their visit to Malaysia to attend the 2nd Special Thailand - Cambodia General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting, at the Ministry of Defence of Malaysia. The Meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Defence of Thailand and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Meeting was observed by the representatives from Malaysia, the United States, and members of the Interim Observer Teams (IOT).

 

The Ambassador, along with the Defence and Army Attaché; Naval Attaché; and Air Attaché, as representatives of the Team Thailand in Malaysia, jointly received the Thai delegation at Subang Air Base, Selangor. On this occasion, the Ambassador also attended the meeting, which proceeded smoothly. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the peaceful resolution of differences and to strengthening good-neighbourly relations in accordance with the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and the ASEAN Charter. In the afternoon on the same day at Subang Air Base, the Ambassador, together with the Team Thailand in Malaysia and Malaysia’s senior officials, jointly bid farewell to the Minister of Defence of Thailand and the Thai delegation, who departed for Thailand safely.
