On 11 July 2023, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia was invited to the welcoming dinner hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia at BoraOmbak Marina, Putrajaya, on the occasion of the 58th ASEAN National Tourism Organization (NTOs) Meeting, the 43rd ASEAN Plus Three NTOs Meeting and the 30th ASEAN – India Tourism Working Group Meeting from 10 – 12 July 2023 whereby member countries and delegations discussed the implementation of tourism activities in the region in light of the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025.

          The welcoming remarks was given by YB Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia. The event was also attended by YBhg. Datuk Hajah Saraya binti Arbi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Lada met with the Thai delegation from Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEP), along with Ambassadors and delegations from ASEAN member states and dialogue partners from China, Japan, Republic of Korea and India, as well as the related international organizations.

          On 12 July 2023, Mr. Mongkol Wimolrat, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, in return, led the delegation to call on H.E. Ambassador Lada at the Royal Thai Embassy. Both sides discussed tourism policy and related measures to welcome foreign tourists to Thailand.
