Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur exchanged views with Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI)

On 11 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia received a courtesy call by the delegation from Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), led by Ms. Napat Thuppun, Executive Director of International Affairs Division, at the Embassy. The BOI Delegation will be attending the First Meeting of ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP) Implementation Workshop, organised by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) as part of the UK Green Investment Catalyst Project, during 12-13 February 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.
 
Both sides exchanged information and trends in Thai Investment in Malaysia as well as Malaysian Investment in Thailand. The Ambassador expressed the Embassy’s readiness to continue promoting two-way trade and investment and economic cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia, particularly in the target areas of both countries.
 
The RIAP Implementation Workshop takes place to prepare readiness of the participating ASEAN member countries in the implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan 2025-2030, which was launched during the ASEAN Investment Forum 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 7 October 2024. The RIPAP aims to attract FDI into ASEAN in the target areas aligned with the global trends such as biofuels, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), medical devices, etc.
