On 16 May 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the “Introduction to AI-Enhanced English Communication Skills for the Workplace” session and “AI-Powered English Communication & Workplace Practice” workshop conducted by speakers from the Language Innovation Centre (LIC), Mueang District, Yala Province, namely: (1) Dr. Rungroj Chorbwan, Director of the LIC and lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus; (2) Dr. Muslim Roka, lecturer at the English Programme, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Princess of Naradhiwas University; and (3) Mr. Sofwan Yanya.
 
The activities focused on building a foundational understanding of AI alongside the development of professional English language skills, as well as practical training in applying AI to enhance English for the workplace, including English prompts writing to generate emails, reports, and professional documents, simulated workplace conversations, job interview preparation, and English presentations, enabling participants to apply knowledge effectively the skills in professional contexts at both national and international levels.
 
On 17 May 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the “AI Showcase” activity, featuring presentations of AI-related works by participating students to exchange ideas and receive feedback from speakers from the LIC, leading to further improvement of their works. That same afternoon, the Royal Thai Embassy also organised a special lecture entitled “AI Advantage: The Benefits of Understanding AI” by Mr. Erafan Madaehoh, a Master’s degree student in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universiti Malaya (UM), Malayais, who formerly worked as a Data Scientist and Analytics Consultant at AIS, Bangkok, for three years. The lecture aimed to inspire and foster positive perspectives towards AI learning, encouraging participants to use AI creatively and effectively while applying the knowledge gained towards the sustainable development of their hometowns, communities, and society.
 
The TRIC Project has been organised for the fifth consecutive year with the support of the Royal Thai Embassy, providing Thai students in Malaysia with opportunities to prepare themselves prior to graduation in terms of academic knowledge, workplace skills, and interpersonal interaction with colleagues, as well as to cultivate positive attitudes towards work. The project aims to support students in growing into quality professionals and becoming an important driving force for their families, hometown communities, society, and the nation.
