The applicants are advised to request a visa, at least 15 working days before the intended date of travel, by filling in the information and upload all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ (Please note that the visa application fee is non-refundable)

Required documents to upload in the system (Large and clear JPEG or PDF format):

1. Category “TS” To travel in transit through the Kingdom of Thailand in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country. Travellers who wish to transit at the international airports in Thailand in less than 12 hours, only in the transit area at the airport, do not need to obtain a Visa.

2. Category “C” The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station, or area in the Kingdom.

3. Category “S” To participate in sports activities (sportsmen, sportswomen, etc.)

***Additional Documents***
For citizens of SPECIFIC COUNTRIES who reside in Malaysia
*Please check whether your passport is from one of the specified countries*
Must provide additional documents as follows:

– A copy of the permanent resident in Malaysia (PR card) or a copy of a valid Malaysian visa (at least 3 months validity with MULTIPLE entry).

- For E-Malaysian Pass, a photocopy must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) before applying to the embassy. (mandatory)

– A letter of proof of employment confirming the position, work status, and salary hand-signed by the authorized HR Department or Manager. ***Please note that the acceptance or job offer is not sufficient.

- For students, a letter is proof of full-time student status.
- For self-employed, business license or business registration indicating the applicant’s name.

**For Nigerian citizens, the original Clearance Certificate issued by Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) or the Letter of Good Conduct issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia must be attached.

For minors under 20 years old, please provide additional documents:

– A Copy of a birth certificate or adoption certificate.

– A copy of the parent's marriage certificate, in case of sole custody,  notarized copy of the court order must be provided.

– A copy of passports or ID of mother and father/ legal guardian.

– Original letter of notarized consent for the minor to travel abroad from mother and father/ legal guardian if the applicant is travelling alone.

***If the applicant not submitting all listed documents or submitted a screenshot or unclear file, he/she will get a request for more documents which will delay the Visa processing time

*** The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application if the reasons given are not fully supported and the visa fee is non-refundable.

*** Additional documents may be required as deemed necessary by the Royal Thai Embassy.

***All supporting materials that are issued outside of Thailand and Malaysia must be accompanied by certified English translations and notarized by an Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs only***
