On 7 October 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the ASEAN Pinnacle Night held in conjunction with the Inaugural ASEAN Chinese Business Leaders Summit 2025, organized by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The event was graced by YB Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Johari bin Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia, together with his spouse, Puan Sri Datin Noraini binti Mohd, as the Guest of Honour. Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of ACCCIM, and Ms. Ng Wei Wei, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UOB Malaysia delivered speeches at the event. The ASEAN Pinnacle Night gathered more than 600 participants from ASEAN and China’s business communities.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador extended congratulations to Mr. Narong Chearavanont, Senior Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd., who received the ASEAN Honorable Business Icon award, the highest honor of the event, presented to Mr. Dhanin

Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. The Ambassador also met with Thai and international representatives attending the event, including H.E. Mr. Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia, Mr. Huang Weiwei, Senior Vice President and President of China Strategic Development and Cooperation of Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd., and Mr. Kitserm Veskaisri, Deputy Executive Secretary-General of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Thailand.

 

The ASEAN Pinnacle Night is an event held in conjunction with the Inaugural ASEAN Chinese Business Leaders Summit 2025, following the Business Matching session and the ASEAN Business Forum. The ASEAN Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards were presented at the event to recipients from ASEAN Member States, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, with a total of 14 awards presented.
