On 29 May 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the grand launch of the Dusit Princess Melaka Hotel in Melaka, which is managed by the Dusit International of Thailand.

 

The grand launch was presided over by T.Y.T. Tun Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, Governor of Melaka. Also present were Encik Mohamad Bukhari bin Che Man, Director of Tourism Malaysia, Melaka Office, representing the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia; the Dusit International executives, led by Mr. Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Mr. Richard Suter, Dusit Representative; as well as Board of Directors of MTB Realty Sdn Bhd.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador exchanged information on the development of Thailand-Malaysia relations with the Governor of Melaka as well as sought a continued support for Thai businesses and Thais living in Melaka. She also expressed congratulations to the Dusit International and reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to support Thai businesses as well as to protect Thais living in Malaysia.
