On 21 November 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, was invited to attend the IDFR Networking Hi-Tea 2025, organized by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, at Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The event featured welcoming remarks by Dato’ Zainol Rahim Zainuddin, Director-General of IDFR, with the presence of Dato’ Ahmad Rozian bin Abd. Ghani, Deputy Secretary- General (Bilateral) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, as well as representatives from government agencies and foreign embassies in Malaysia, totaling more than 150 participants.

 

The Ambassador met with and conveyed congratulations to the Director-General of IDFR on IDFR’s achievements under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, particularly in enhancing diplomatic training, strengthening knowledge in international relations, and advancing strategic partnerships with various sectors, which elevated Malaysia’s standing on the international stage, including through the continued collaboration with the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
