On 15 July 2025, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia engaged in a discussion with the executives of the National Defence University Malaysia (NDUM), led by Professor Dr. Aidy bin Ali, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), and Thai Army Cadets from the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy Class 73, during the dinner hosted by the Ambassador at the Thai Residence, on the occasion of the Thai army cadets exchange visit to NDUM on 14 – 18 July 2024.
 
The Ambassador delivered welcoming remarks, expressing appreciation for the regular exchange of visits between Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM), which plays a vital role in fostering and strengthening close ties between the two military educational institutions. The exchange of academic knowledge, training experiences, and approaches to capacity building for cadets and commanding officers serves as a key mechanism for enhancing dynamic military-to-military relations between Thailand and Malaysia. It also contributes to developing personnel to meet international standards and to promoting future cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
 
On this occasion, Colonel Artit Pikulthong, Defence and Army Attaché; Group Captain Warawoot Krasaetanont, Air Attaché; and Mr. Warut Plianphanich, Second Secretary, delivered briefings on overall Thailand–Malaysia bilateral relations, as well as security and defence cooperation. Police Colonel Apichai Warunee, Minister Counsellor (Police), Mr. Chatchawan Worrakajohnwirat, Minister Counsellor, and other embassy officials also participated in informative exchanges on Thailand–Malaysia relations during the dinner reception.
 
The NDUM leadership and cadets actively engaged in discussions, demonstrating keen interest in gaining insights into Thailand–Malaysia relations and ongoing developments beneficial to both nations and their peoples. They also expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the Royal Thai Embassy.
