On 18 May 2023 H.E. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia participated in the Hari Raya Open House hosted by Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA), Kuala Lumpur. H.E. Lada met with Thai and Malaysian members of the MTJA. On this occasion, H.E. Lada also met with YBhg. Tan Sri Dr. Rahamat Bivi Binti Yusoff, Malaysian Co-chairperson and H.E. Dr. Kurujit Nakornthap, Thai Co-chairperson. The Open House was in great ambience, strengthening Thailand-Malaysia relations.

            The MTJA was established in 1991 to resolve the area of overlapping continental shelf in Thailand and Malaysia’s Joint Development Area (JDA) in the Gulf of Thailand. It oversees the exploration and production of petroleum in the JDA.
